Live in Rusholme?

1/2

Community: Rusholme

Welcome to the Rusholme neighbourhood hub. Here you can find out more about what’s happening in your local area and how to get involved.

Rusholme residents, community groups, student population and chain of local Asian restaurants affectionately known as the ‘Curry Mile’ all contribute to the areas cultural vibrance and diversity. Much effort goes into creating attractive, sustainable local environments especially with a view to climate change.

Victoria Park Residents Association were keen to make environmental improvements to an area of green land in the heart of their neighbourhood, known as ‘The Croft’. Supported by Sow the City who work with and empower local communities to grow and live more sustainably.

An array of bulbs have been planted around new and existing trees, not only injecting some colour and enhancing the site, but also creating a great nature-based approach helping to mitigate the effects of climate change.

We've invited residents in Rusholme to join their local community group that will be supported to plan and deliver projects together. Stay up to date with the community group here.
