What you can expect if you join your local community group

From May 2021 – Jan 2022 we will support groups of residents to work together to develop and lead projects which respond to the climate emergency. The support will include group sessions to understand how to bring out the best in yourself and others and develop new relationships with neighbours and local partners. This is an opportunity to work together in a local community climate action group, access support and inspiration from peers across Manchester and contribute to how this programme evolves. In taking part you will learn and develop whilst playing an active role in co-creating the community and environment you want.

There will be a group in each of the following Manchester areas: Hulme, Moss Side, Rusholme, Newton Heath and Miles Platting, Levenshulme, and the Northern Quarter.

A group of 12 people will come together in each of our 6 neighbourhoods as part of In Our Nature.

In Our Nature is currently a group of organisations in Manchester, and with your help, we are creating the city’s biggest community climate programme. In joining your local group your actions, ideas and stories will be at the heart of helping everyone across the city find ways to eat healthier, improve the air we breathe, protect our green spaces, throw away less and power our homes in a way that’s fit for the future. If you want to join us express your interest here: https://forms.gle/vBQeodFuTtkXDjRw8

Deadline to express your interest: 23.00 on the 31st July 2021.
