Better outdoor areas for sports and exercise including sheltered areas and flat multipurpose playground. Also safer roads. There is too many parked cars which makes it difficult to cycle or large roads which aren’t safe either. People speeding etc.

Have local places where residents can donate broken items - things which could be repaired by someone with the right skills (eg furniture, electrical items, clothing). Pair up these drop off points with teams of repairers who do the repairs and then re-sell the items - the income could help fund the project.

I moved into a new development in New Islington in November and would really welcome some community projects to help bring together the predominantly middle-class young professionals (like me) moving into new apartment building with the existing communities and long-term residents of the area. It feels as though there's a lack of community amongst apartment-dwellers, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels the burden of being the gentrifying newcomers that come hand in hand with new investment in a historically neglected area. It feels like there's a class-/cultural-divide that will only continue to increase without efforts to promote community cohesion and shared experiences in the area.

We need to visualise carbon. Without knowing what carbon is, or looks like, it's hard to measure and weigh up actions making things feel grounded. Saving carbon feels academic in many ways How about visuals on streets saying by driving from town to here, it would take 5 trees a year to soak up the carbon etc. Or the opposite, saying that by recycling or using green electricity you've saved enough carbon which would pollute Piccadilly gardens for 1 month. Maybe counters that track the pollution levels and have a light which indicates the situation. This is something I could probably make or could be made in a team.
